Regina de Jimenez - SPAIN
Regina is an artist, designer and teacher. She investigates the creative and symbolic possibilities of textiles, exploring the limits between art and crafts. In her conceptual vision, the universe is structured by layers, connections between elements and unsolvable mysteries. Her artistic production manifests these ideas through an intuitive work with matter and a subsequent analysis of the relationships between form and theoretical and poetic content.
She develops her own abstract language in her pieces, combining expressive action with traditional textile craft techniques, haute couture and installation.
In addition to her artistic production, she facilitates the transmission of this knowledge and these processes at an intergenerational level.
Regina has a degree in BBAA, Higher Technique in Photography and a Master in Art Therapy and Edu. Artistic for social inclusion by the UCM. She is currently a teacher in the Master of Art Therapy at the Institute of Psychological Studies and is pursuing a research doctorate at the UPV. Regina runs her own studio in Madrid.
