Fabricaal - PORTUGAL

“Fabricaal is a century-old weaving mill located in Reguengos de Monsaraz, Évora, in the region of Alentejo, Portugal. The workshop specialises in ‘Mantas Alentejanas’, traditional blankets from the region, and is the sole producer of ‘Mantas Reguengos’, Alentejo blankets specific to the city.

Using local merino wool and the same weaving techniques and manual wooden looms used in the blankets’ earliest creation, Fabricaal holds firmly to heritage as it innovates, continuing to produce traditional patterns while introducing new designs, colourways, and forms.

Their diverse product offering, including premium handmade woven rugs, bed blankets, wall tapestries, poufs, cushions and upholstery fabrics, brings these ancestral techniques into luxury interiors globally. They collaborate creatively with select partners and have an ongoing relationship with Portuguese furniture maker De La Espada, working together on textiles for special edition furniture pieces.
