I am Hizqeel, a textile designer, founder, and creative director of Bakr. My expertise lies in natural dyeing and printing, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.

At BAKR, we start with a design concept and work backward—studying and exploring crafts and techniques from around the world, then applying them in ways that achieve the right outcome. We don’t see ourselves as limited by the boundaries of a single craft but rather connected by the possibilities that different crafts bring together.”
