Formed in 2012, Angela Damman is a mexican sustainable luxury brand dedicated to the production of textiles, luxury products and limited edition works handcrafted with native plants and through the ancient and artisanal traditions of the Yucatán Peninsula
The project operates through fully regenerative processes, from harvesting and defibering plants such as henequen agave and sansevieria, to the assembly of the final product.
The project’s efforts not only connect centuries-old knowledge with contemporary design, but help to stimulate local economic development.
The Brand’s work is produced at its Yucatan based studio and in several neighbouring villages.
Apart from the previously mentioned self cultivated materials used in her work, Angela has extended her efforts to incorporate other fibres, including espadin agave extracted in a project-collaboration with Trine Ellitsgaard and Hermano Maguey.
