“Behind NUAR you can find Ariana Baltierrez. Coming from a family rooted in the textile world, she studied Textile and Fashion Design in Barcelona. 

After several years working for the shoes industry, her goal and dedication is bringing back to life the footwear heritage in Mallorca, working together with local artisans as a way to keep alive the traditional craftsmanship of the island.

NUAR takes its name from the Catalan word for “ tie ”. True to its definition, it takes us to the territory of footwear, but also to the generation of connections between brand-productive, brand-territory, brand-user.

From her local studio in Alaró, a peaceful valley on the southern slopes of the Tramuntana mountains range, she draws inspiration from the landscapes, culture, and history that render Mallorca unique, infusing each pair with a touch of its magic.”
