Morayo Ossê - BENIN

“Morayo is a textile entrepreneur based in Benin.

In 2019, she created the first concept store dedicated to products made in Benin.

Since childhood, she’s has loved to listen, observe and has a passion for handicrafts.

Exploring culture through Art history, she currently devotes herself to the heritage of decorative arts running through Benin (formerly Dahomey), which she expresses through her brand: ATELIER V.O, founded in 2020.

ATELIER V.O offers contemporary but timeless design that emphasize quality and durability in each piece. Consciously using local textiles and working in conjunction with local artisans to create works both honest and deeply rooted in Beninese textile heritage.

Her current aim is to combine craftsman’s practices with contemporary artistry to form “art de vivre” apparels and objects that pay tribute to their know-how from Benin and draw inspiration from the ethical and eco-responsible values that have thrived there for generations.”
