Simone Ozio - ITALY

Simone Falli is an Italian handweaver and designer born and established in the countryside of Tuscany.

He grew up around the looms and the colorful yarns of the family workshop and after some experience in restoring and video-art, at the age of 21 he wanted to learn how to weave and started to work with his uncle.

In 2019 he began experimenting new techniques and materials, following his new project and founding the brand Ozio Piccolo Studio Tessile.
Fascinated by the many possibilities of using fabrics, he experiments and creates accessories for interiors and fashion, giving a minimal and refined taste that makes his creations unique.

His philosophy is based on environmental sustainability and respect for the creative and production processes, choosing to use exclusively fine natural yarns for his fabrics, working entirely by hand on wooden looms designed and built by himself.

Between 2021 and 2023 he won the Blogs & Crafts call, promoted by the World Craft Council Europe and the 20>40 contest of the Osservatorio Mestieri d'Arte (OMA) with a project on GOTS certified organic fibers and was selected by the Homo Faber guide.
