Gesine Holschuh is a visionary entrepreneur and creative force in the fashion industry. Armed with an MBA from INSEAD, she honed her strategic skills at McKinsey before embarking on her own venture in the world of fashion. As the founder and creative director of Wehve, Gesine has seamlessly melded her business expertise with her passion for design, creating a brand that transcends boundaries. Working closely with artisans in Peru and Uruguay, she collaborates closely with skilled craftsmen who hand-dye selected natural, eco-friendly materials, hand-loom, and embroider or paint each piece with meticulous care.

Gesine’s distinctive style, characterized by bold colors and intricate designs, has captivated audiences worldwide and earned Wehve a coveted place in the most discerning boutiques globally. Through her commitment to sustainability and ethical practices, she has not only redefined the fashion landscape but also empowered artisans and contributed to preserving traditional craftmanship.

As an independent consultant on corporate strategy for large multinational companies, she dedicated part of her work time to projects in India and Africa including, among others, Hand in Hand International, Percy Barnevik’s London based foundation which has created more than 4 million sustainable jobs for women. Since 2012, Gesine has also been a Board Member of Fairtrade Belgium.
